Honey & Art Fair

All are invited to the third annual Honey and Arts Fair to celebrate the hard work of the pollinators and plants in the garden. Don't miss the family friendly celebration!

PARKING

On Saturdays parking is available on the street.  You can also park in the Fairmont United Methodist Church parking lot on the corner of Horne St and Clark Ave - just 1 block from the fair!

WHAT DOES IT COST?

All activities are free!

Food, artisan goods, native plants, etc. are available at an additional cost.

MUSIC STAGE

2 pm - Piobadh na Triantan / Pipers of the Triangle
3 pm - Maddii, pop and country music
4 pm  - Rode Hard - bluegrass, Americana and a little rock
5 pm - Crabtree Creek Sloggy Bottom Boys  - bluegrass

CHURCH PARKING LOT

Arts Sale - Shop for jewelry, art, clothing and more.  Proceeds benefit the WRPC Arts Ministry

Honey Tasting & Sale – Taste honeys from NC beekeepers in Raleigh and the garden’s very own Hank the Hive. Honey vendors this year:

 

Hot Dogs! 
WRPC will be serving up hot dogs with all the fixins' and bottled water.

​

Lemonade and Bake Sale - Homemade baked goods and lemonade.  All proceeds go to Presbyterian Women's missions.

BEELOVED COMMUNITY GARDEN

Bee Crafts - make a native bee house for your garden  and a felted butterfly! (while supplies last)

​

Face painting - 4-6pm - turn your face into a work of art with face painting by the talented Wendy Aldwyn

​

Meet the Bees - 4-6pm - Beekeeper Ken Cobb will have an observation hive and will answer all of your honeybee questions.

​

Learn how to Labyrinth - 3:30pm - Mark Zaineddin will lead an interactive session on using the garden’s own meditation labyrinth to clear you mind and calm your spirit

SIDEWALK/STREET

Chalk Art Contest - show off your drawing skills in just one sidewalk square.  Entriles will be judged with prizes for youth and adult age groups. Chalk is provided. Judging begins at 4 pm so get here early to complete your masterpiece.  Winners announced at 5 pm on the music stage.

Bouncy Slide (in front of the garden) – all are invited to enjoy some bouncy fun!

​

Corn Hole Corner - face off to see who is the Honey Fair corn hole champion!

 

Community Partners - These folks are doing good stuff in our neighborhood, city and state!
