Come Worship!  Sunday School for all ages at 9:45 am and Worship at 11:00 am

Why are the Psalms important?
As a church, we need the Word of God to seep into our bones. We need the support and comfort that the Psalms can bring. We need the continual reminder that God, rather than we humans, is the center of the universe. We need the words of the Psalms so that we might call on God and work with God, perhaps with fist in the air, to bring justice.

We need the Psalms’ reminder that the world needs help.   We need the Psalms to seep into our bones, convict our hearts, and propel us into the world. We need the Psalms to push us out of our sanctuaries and into the street.

Immerse Yourself and be Transformed
Throughout Lent, West Raleigh will offer opportunities for daily devotions, for study, for worship, as well as response in art and music.

Daily Devotions

  • Psalm of the Day- look for a Psalm sent to your email every day in Lent. Selected by the program staff and coordinated with the daily Psalms and Sunday themes, these Psalms will kick-start your day. Take them with you, meditate on them, and return to them before you retire for the night.  Not in our Weekly E-news group? Email This email address is being protected from spambots. • Daily Readings using examen.me. For a deep commitment to the Psalms, visit this site daily. Sign up for the systematic plan for reading the Psalms in 30 days. Accompany your reading with journaling and reflection. You will sign in and create a simple account to keep track of your reading.
  • Daily Readings using The Book of Common Prayer, 1662: This 30-day plan will take you through all 150 Psalms. Select one or more. Print the page and slip it in your bible.
