The women of First Presbyterian Church, New Bern— already geared up for the church’s 200th anniversary celebration that began in January— will be waitingto welcome you tothe New Hope Presbytery Spring Gathering, which begins with registration and a reception at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 8.They’ve engaged Carol Winkler , the leader of Presbyterian Women, Churchwide to deliver the main address. Officers for 2017-2018 will be presented and installed or rededicated.Millicent Brown Fauntleroy, who becomes moderator, and those who will serve with her,begin their terms on May 1. As she ends her term, current Moderator SharonGodard will preside over a full business meeting that willinclude adoption of a budget.Also expect an update from Scholarship Committee leader Karen McCauley on scholarship recipients. The day’s offering will go to support PWP scholarships. Please bring cash or a check. Frances Turner, Justice and Peace Coordinator, will receive gift cards in $10 and $25 denominations intended for the Interfaith Prison Ministry Women in Raleigh.

Justice and Peace Coordinator, Frances Turner, is spearheading our mission to give to the Interfaith Prison Ministry for Women in Raleigh. Women attending are asked to bring universal gift cards in denominations of $10 and $25 for IPMW.
